These concentrated paints are just like watercolors and will dry on your skin. Unlike grease paints, they wear for a long time but wash off easy with soap and water.

Our mica pigments are carefully selected to avoid these commonly-used but toxic pigments, (mica is normally translucent and pigments are added to give it color). ● HOW DO I USE THE PAINTS?

For Best Results, You'll Need:
Paint palette (small plate, bowl, or a few layers of paper)
Clean brush, sponge or even clean fingers
Bowl of clean water
Paper laid out to catch spilled paint
Soap and warm water for clean up
With a clean tool, scoop a small amount of paint from the pot and place it on your palette.
Dip your brush or sponge into the bowl of water; then swirl it into the paint on your palette.
Once you have activated enough paint to coat your applicator (a little goes a long way), begin applying the paint to your skin.
Rinse your applicator with water before applying a different color or use a new applicator.

● HOW MUCH WATER DO I ADD?

These paints are similar to watercolors and are solid. You'll need to mix them with water to apply. This face paint wears best with a 50/50 water to paint ratio for matte colors, 60/40 for shimmer colors. Thick paint mixes may need our setting powder to dry completely.

To darken a color, add a little black; to lighten it, add a little white.
Be sure to mix outside of the pots on a pallet or layers of paper. Use the easy to clean scoops provided with your pack.

Our paints are truly natural. Plan on using/disposing of them in the same day that you open the pot.
Unopened pots last for 1 year after the purchase date.
Do not use expired product!
Do not use face paint if the product appearance or smell changes or skin irritation occurs.

Though all of the ingredients are edible and used in food in trace amounts, they are not safe to consume in larger quantities.

● CLEAN UP:

A liquid castile soap or mild dish soap are recommended for easiest clean up. Lather painted skin well with soap and rinse under warm water. Repeat if necessary.
If paint gets on clothing, hand wash the stain with lots of soap and warm water. Repeat if needed and launder as usual.
If paint gets on carpet, try soap and water or rubbing alcohol. Spray area, scrub with a cloth, and wipe until clean.

● HOW MUCH PAINT IS 10 GRAMS?

A single pot of paint when mixed with water should cover 1-2 adult faces.
We've found you get the same amount of use per color when the paints are sold by weight instead of volume. To compare our prices with paints sold by volume:
10 gram pot = 8 ml
20 gram pot = 13 ml
Please note:
Because our paints are sold by weight and each is a unique blend of minerals, some take up more space than others. Our Shimmer Paint pots often appear more full because they are so light compared to the heavy Matte Paints. Dark colors generally weigh more.

● CAN I GET OTHER COLORS NOT LISTED HERE?

We do not carry some colors because the available pigments contain heavy metals, carcinogens, or are likely to irritate skin. We may not be able to make the color you're looking for safely, but please ask to be sure.

● CAN I WEAR THIS PAINT ON MY LIPS OR EYES?

All of our paint colors are approved for use near the eyes and on lips.
We do not recommend that you apply paints to the waterline of your eye though. Being watercolors, the moisture in your eyes will mix with the paint and may cause slight irritation. Use our Vegan Eyeliner instead.
